Synopsis[]
In the late 19th century, Great Britain rules over a quarter of the world. Nobles sit in their fancy homes in comfort and luxury, while the working class slaves away at their jobs. When young Albert James Moriarty’s upper-class family adopts two lower-class orphans, the cruelty the boys experience at his family’s hands cements Albert’s hatred of the nobility he was born into. He asks the older of the two boys—who has a genius mind and a killer instinct—to help him rid the world of evil, starting with Albert’s own family!
Summary[]
Two orphans were taken in by the noble Moriarty family to be taken care of. They’re brothers, the youngest being Louis and having an illness with his heart. The older one is William. Both brothers are extremely intelligent and many adults and children alike consult the two for advice.
The heir to the Moriarty household, Albert, met the brothers and was fascinated by their ideals and intelligence. The orphans believed that bad nobles ought to be killed.
Albert claimed the two as though they are his blood. Servants and the rest of Albert’s family treated the orphans horribly. Once Louis‘ condition was stable, Albert, William and Louis conspired to kill the Moriarty family by staging a fire and escaped. Albert told authorities that Louis and William are his little brothers.
13 years later, William is extremely accomplished as a scholar and lectures students at a university and is a private consultant. William, Albert and Louis moved from London to the countryside. The townsfolk are afflicted with despair caused by the local Nobles. William wishes to resolve it.
Albert focuses on the military and Louis is in house affairs.
The secretary of finances at the university behaves suspiciously. Recently a woman seemingly took her own life by jumping off a bridge during a storm. A student at the university was in love with her. Opium is occurring frequently throughout this case.
William commissions Fred and Moran to assist him during the investigation. They resolve the case by bringing the student that fell in love with the girl out, and using him to lure the secretary to confess his crimes. Moran snipes at the secretary‘s feet until he falls off the bridge as well.
Fred and Moran are permitted to stay at the Moriarty household, as long as they work like everyone else does.
