Simon (サイモン Saimon) is a prominent butler for the Moriarty household while Albert James Moriarty is a child.
Appearance[]
Simon is a middle-aged man of reasonable height, with neat black hair and dark-colored eyes framed by glasses. Being the butler of an upper-class family, he is seen wearing appropriately formal looking suits.
Personality[]
While Simon is not seen for very long, he shows himself to be a generally unpleasant man; much like the other residents and some of the other workers of the Moriarty household. Despite not being highborn, he stills sees himself as being above the two orphaned brothers, William & Louis, and treats them harshly as a result.
For example, he is eager to set Louis to work around the house despite Louis still being quite sickly and recovering from his unspecified illness. He also admonishes William for wearing Albert's nice second-hand clothing and riding in the family carriage, even though he had permission from Albert to do so.
Biography[]
Simon is one of the many house staff employed by the Moriarty family during Albert's childhood. Unlike some of the other house staff, such as the maids, who are wary of the family due to Albert's brother, William, who enjoys terrorizing them due to their low status, Simon himself seems to hold the same haughty attitude as the Moriarty family towards the lower class. This could indicate that perhaps he receives comparatively better treatment than the other house staff, or hails from a family of moderately better status than the other servants.
While his status is never outright confirmed, it is assumed that he and the other house staff perished in the Moriarty house fire set by Albert, Will, & Louis that killed the rest of Albert's biological family.
