MUSICAL MORIARTY THE PATRIOT Op.3 - THE PHANTOM OF WHITECHAPEL is the 3rd opus of the MORIARTY THE PATRIOT musicals. It was directed by Nishimori Hideyuki.
The musical held shows in Tokyo at Stellar Ball - Shinagawa Prince Hotel from August 5th to August 15th, 2021 and then in Kyoto at Sankei Hall Breeze on August 19th to August 22nd, 2021.
Movements[]
1st Movement: The Ghost of Whitechapel[]
A serial killer named "Jack the Ripper" has suddenly appeared in slums of the East End in London, Whitechapel. There threaten to be more of the brutal murders and the unidentified culprit makes headlines in the newspaper, terrorizing the people across London.
The fear of Jack dominates the people's minds and it escalates into a conflict between the Scotland Yard and the citizens of Whitechapel.
Soon, William would receive a letter of request from his old teacher, Jack Renfield. Lestrade also seeks out Sherlock and John for help.[1]
2nd Movement: A Riot in Scotland Yard[]
With Sherlock hiding the true nature of the Jack the Ripper incident, the public believes he's still at large. Arterton, Chief Inspector at Scotland Yard, arrests an innocent man in his desperation to quell the outrage and keep the yard's dignity.
Knowing what's going on, William decides to act. Paterson, an associate of his in Scotland Yard, as well as Bonde are at the forefront of the mission to prove Arterton's wrongdoing. In the meanwhile, Sherlock finds himself frustrated about always dancing in the palm of the Lord of Crime.
3rd Movement: One Student[]
Vexxed and torn about his feelings, Sherlock visits William at Durham University - a joyful reunion for both of them. Sherlock has come to discuss the Lord of Crime with him. He's faced with the dilemma of knowing they are a noble criminal with good intentions and who helps the powerless, but still a serial murderer that he can't just let go.
Their chat is interrupted by William suddenly noticing a perfect score on an exam, yet the paper has no name. He requests Sherlock to help him find the mysterious student.
