MUSICAL MORIARTY THE PATRIOT Op. 2 - A SCANDAL IN BRITISH EMPIRE is the 2nd opus of the MORIARTY THE PATRIOT musicals. It was directed by Nishimori Hideyuki.
The musical held shows in Tokyo at The Galaxy Theatre from July 31st to August 10th, 2020 and then in Kyoto at Kyoto Theater on August 14th to August 16th, 2020.
Movements[]
1st Movement: The Hunting of the Baskervilles[]
Children are being mysteriously kidnapped in London. One night, Fred receives information that it is due to a nobleman conducting hunts of children.[1]
He wishes to save them, but hesitates in fear of getting in the way of William's plans. He decides to consult Moran about his feelings.[1]
2nd Movement: The Two Detectives[]
Detective Sherlock Holmes, who is still captivated by the mystery of the Lord of Crime, reunites with William on a train to London.[2]
In the middle of their pleasant chat however, a murder case suddenly occurs with John as the prime suspect. William and Sherlock agree on a race to find the real culprit![2]
3rd Movement: A Scandal in the British Empire[]
Mycroft Holmes, director of the War Office's Intelligence Branch, receives anorder from Queen Victoria regarding confidential documents stolen from Buckingham Palace. The target is Irene Adler, also called "The Woman". MI6, led by Albert, is commanded to retrieve the documents and eliminate her.
In the meantime, Adler makes contact with Sherlock Holmes. What are the contents of the documents and what are Adler's true intentions? A crime lord, the great detective and a beautiful femme fatale. This strange relationship-triangle exposes the scandals of the British Empire.[3]
