MUSICAL MORIARTY THE PATRIOT is the 1st opus of the MORIARTY THE PATRIOT musicals. It was directed by Nishimori Hideyuki.
The musical held shows in Tokyo at the Galaxy Theatre from May 10th to May 19th, 2019 and then in Osaka at Kashiwara Civil Culture Hall - Riviere Hall from May 25th to May 26th, 2019.
Movements[]
1st Movement: The Birth of Moriarty[]
The first movement depicts the The One Grapefruit Pie. William, along with his brothers Louis and Albert, move to the countryside of Durham where he meets a working class couple who are furious with the corrupt and exploitative land owner Baron Dublin. William begins his mission as a "crime consultant", taking on the couple's request for help.
It also features a summarized version of The Scarlet Eyes in the form of a song by the brothers explaining the past and how they murdered the original Moriarty household.
2nd Movement: Noah's Ark[]
The second movement features the story arc of the Noahtic Act. It's the maiden voyage of the Noahtic cruise, but one of the guests is Earl Blitz Enders, a noble who secretly performs hunts of people in his territory. William and his allies board the ship to eliminate him when suddenly a man called Sherlock Holmes appears and leaves a considerable impression on William.
The beginning of the act introduces Sherlock and Miss Hudson at apartment 221B.
3rd Movement: The Study of Sherlock Holmes[]
The third movement depicts the A Study in Scarlet arc. William decides to test Sherlock and his capabilities, having him framed as the culprit in a murder case involving a noble. Together with his new roommate, John H. Watson, Sherlock embarks on an investigation to solve the murder and find the true culprit, as well as the mastermind putting him to the test.
After Sherlock successfully solves the case, William declares him the hero of their tale.
