The Riot in New Scotland Yard (スコットランドヤード狂騒曲 Sukottorando Yādo Kyousou Kyoku) is the 17th episode of MORIARTY THE PATRIOT anime series.
Synopsis[]
The Jack the Ripper Case is finally put to bed by the Moriartys, or so they believe. Lestrade suspects a frame job and asks Holmes for help looking for evidence. Meanwhile, Paterson tries to find a way to sneak Bonde inside the station.
Summary[]
Chief Inspector Arterton's reputation is in shambles. In order to restore it, he has a doctor framed as the true Jack the Ripper. Hoping the Lord of Crime can help save the doctor from this cruel fate, Mycroft reaches out to Albert.
Lestrade suspects that Arterton planted evidence in order to get the doctor framed. He informs his co-worker Inspector Paterson and he suggests that finding records of Arterton's finances is their best course of action. In order to do so, Lestrade recruits Holmes for help while Paterson meets with Bonde.
Inside the police station, the doctor wants to try and fight the case legally but Arterton denies him a lawyer, attempting to blackmail him into a fake confession of guilt that he is Jack the Ripper. Bonde gets inside by pretending to be drunk and gets arrested.
Meanwhile, Holmes is torn between helping Lestrade or uncovering the identity of the Lord of Crime. He decides to help the doctor and aids Lestrade and nearly get their hands on Arterton's financial ledger. However, they get caught by Arterton themself and Lestrade decides to openly accuse him of corruption. Lestrade himself is arrested for trespassing and such but Bonde obtains the records in all the confusion.
Bonde gives the ledger to Lestrade, claiming to have found it in Arterton's office. With evidence of Arterton's corruption. Lestrade and the doctor are both freed from containment. Arterton is rightfully arrested and Paterson is promoted to the vacant position of Chief Inspector.
Holmes is happy justice was once again served, but he remains conflicted about the Lord of Crime. William is glad to have the new Chief Inspector as an ally.
